What is The Head Office?

The Head Office programme offers a specialised, differentiated curriculum for students aged 6 to 13 years old with advanced, yet complex, learning needs.

Picture
Our aim is to deliver in depth intellectual and creative learning so that our students flourish as well balanced individuals.  Students come together, with a specialized teacher, one day a week in small classes.

Being bright or advanced in your learning does not automatically mean success. Research shows that plenty of advanced learners do not thrive in a conventional school environment.  In fact a recent report stated that gifted students “remain the least understood and lowest funded special needs group in all educational settings” (AAEGT). This may be due to a variety of reasons:
  • content may be delivered too slowly,
  • the child may already have mastered the content,
  • a learning difficulty could be masking advanced abilities,
  • or the child may struggle to find meaningful friendships or learning partners within their age group.
The Head Office Programme offers advanced students the intellectual and creative challenges they crave, while learning with like-minded peers in a supportive environment. Follow this link to keep reading about our tailor-made curriculum.

What our families say about the Head Office...

"Our child loves coming to The Head Office.  He has said things about making friends, about the kids all being nice and how he feels so happy being among the other children more like him.  He's never said this before about friends or school.  I picked him up yesterday and I was so thrilled to see how happy he looked.  We're so grateful."
"For the first time I feel my child has found 'her tribe'. Since attending The Head Office she feels more confident in her own skin, feels understood and valued for her skills and accepted amongst her peers. You have no idea what a difference this makes to our family. Thank you so much for all that you."
"Your weekly updates give us such an insight into the learning that is happening. My child thoroughly enjoys his time at the Head Office."
"My kid is loving it. So settled, so happy. Thanks for all that you do."
"We are thrilled with how well our daughter has settled in and how much she is enjoying her time at the Head Office. A thousand thanks for all of the hard work and commitment the teachers are putting into making this so special for the children."
"My son is a changed kid since coming to the Head Office. I really appreciate the positive influence you are having on him."
