This week,16th to 20th March, it has been 𝙉𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠. Neurodiversity is the concept that differences in human brain function and behavior are natural variations rather than deficits, advocating that there is no single "correct" way for a brain to work. It embraces neurological differences - such as giftedness, dyslexia, autism and ADHD - as part of normal human diversity, focusing on strengths and fostering inclusion.
As a charitable trust 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 provides programmes for neurodivergent learners with advanced yet complex needs (giftedness) and learners with dyslexia that are based in Taranaki. We are proud of what we are achieving which is supporting our students to become less anxious, more understood, settled and engaged by providing depth, pace, support and understanding to their specific learning needs while in amongst like minded peers. These fabulous neurodivergent learners are our future change makers - and with that knowledge we would like to celebrate each and every one of them and say '𝐇a𝐩p𝐲 𝐍e𝐮r𝐨d𝐢v𝐞r𝐬i𝐭y W𝐞e𝐤' from The Head Office team!
